We have developed an efficient solution to check the distance between persons in a moderately crowded scene and across multiple camera footprints. The technique developed works at near-video rate (30 fps) and fine-tuned to accommodate illumination changes in indoor scenes.

The Social Distance Engine, developed, is robust in the sense that it correctly follow the person we want to track in a scene containing more than 1000 people even if the camera view is obstructed for a few seconds.

The Social Distance Engine is a good choice for indoor and outdoor applications.

This video engine can be also used for applications such as people counting and dwell time, and typical deployments include commercial buildings. The following sections detail ideal settings only. Configuration options described here are not mandatory.

The Social Distance Enigne is a robust analytic. Use the IKM platform in situations where people are crossing paths, or walking together, and you want to track them individually.

The solution is interactive and anonymous. It is able to check distance between objects, devices, or any “things” to capture the behaviors of a real person.

The complexity of the tracking system is not depending on location positioning and recognition attributes.
